Welcome to easyFly3
easyFly3 is our state-of-the-art rc-simulator for airplanes as well as helicopters with superior aerodynamic modeling and at an ubeatable price. If you don’t need all the features of its bigger brother AeroFly Professional Deluxe, then easyFly3 is the perfect simulator for you and a good training tool for experts as well as beginners.
easyFly3 offers one of the most advanced aerodynamic modeling ever found in a simulator. Every possible aspect of real-world flight is simulated: Post stall effects, tip stalls, torque and gyroscopic effects, propwash, ground effect, wind, thermals, turbulence - easyFly3 models them all.
A model for everybody
easyFly3 allows you to practice with many different models starting from easy beginner airplanes, to aerobatic and 3D airplane model to fast jets and electric or gas helicopters.
Stunningly realistic sceneries
easyFly3 offers you the choice of either photo or 3D sceneries. Photo sceneries offer the best in visual quality whereas 3D sceneries are for maximum fun. easyFly 3 photo sceneries are not just “photos” but you can fully interact with all objects in the scene giving you a stunningly real feeling.
Even for experts
easyFly3 is ideally suited for experienced as well as expert pilots since its flight model is the same as its big brother AeroFly Professional Deluxe. With the 3m Edge540 model you can practice high alpha 3D flight like torque-rolls and the Heli 60 helicopter model is perfect for ultimate 3D flight.
easy to use
easyFly 3 is a joy to use. No complicated menus or difficult setup procedures. Simply install easyFly 3 from the CD, calibrate and set up your radio and of you go for your first flight.
easyFly3 features in detail:
Due to the detailed 3D-graphics and the advanced and time consuming physics simulation it is highly recommended that your computer system matches the following minimum computer specifications to achieve a smooth simulation speed. Please also read our special section about graphics cards right here. Using the right combination of CPU and 3D-graphics card is important.
Minimum system requirements
Intel Pentium 4 or AMD 64 compatible
Processor with at least 1,5 Ghz
512 MB RAM
1.5 GB free hard disc memory
OpenGL version 2.0 compatible 3Dgraphics-card with at least 128 MB (also read here)
100% DirectX 9.0 compatible sound card
Windows 2000/XP Vista
USB port for the connection of the USB-Interface-cable with a PPM transmitter with trainer jack
Recommended system requirements
Intel Pentium 4 with 2.0 Ghz or AMD 64 compatible processor with at least 2.0 Ghz
1 GB RAM
OpenGL Version 2.0 compatible 3D-graphics card with 256 MB
For optimum sound quality we recommend a high quality standalone PCI soundcard. (Onboard sound cards are generally not recommended)
The supplied USB interface cable with 3,5 mm stereo connector is suitable for the following radios:
Graupner / JR: FM314, MC10, MC12, MC14, MC15, MC16, MC16/20, MC18, MC 20, MC22, MC24, FM4014, JR9x, X-347, X-387, X-388, X-756, X-3810
Lexors Nova 4, Nova 4+1 and Nova 6
Notes about using the right 3D-graphics card
Using the right combination of CPU and 3D-graphics card is the key to a perfect system. Using a NVIDIA GeForce MX 400 with a very fast Pentium 4 or AMD64 is as useless as using a NVIDIA GeForce 6800 or ATI Radeon X-800 with a 1 Ghz CPU. Please also note that the amount of RAM on the 3D-graphics card does not reflect the performance of the card. The following is a short list of good 3D-graphics cards for use with easyFly3.
Recommended 3D-graphics cards
Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 (These cards are Ok, but some model/scenery combinations might not run fast enough)
The following cards are NOT recommended
All Matrox cards (the current line of Matrox cards is not compatible with AeroFly. There seems to be a driver bug that prevents AeroFly from working) ATI XPert / ATI All In Wonder / ATI Rage (this accounts only for the old 7xxx series. The 9xxx series is highly recommended!) 3DFX Voodoo1, Voodoo2, Voodoo3, Banshee(The 3DFX company is no longer in business!)
